Members & Departments
For collaborative teams and large organizations, Alephant provides powerful structures to manage access and cost attribution.
Members (Team & Enterprise)
Adding team members allows you to give individuals access to the platform and assigns them their own Virtual Keys.
- Attribution: Track exactly how much API cost is generated by specific individuals.
- Roles: Assign different administrative roles (e.g., Admin, Billing Admin, Viewer).
- Control: Revoke access instantly if a member leaves the team, immediately disabling their Virtual Key.
Departments (Enterprise Only)
The Enterprise plan unlocks the ability to group Members and Agents into Departments.
- Department Budgets: Set a strict budget for the Engineering or Marketing department. Once reached, requests can be automatically paused or throttled.
- Policy Overrides: Apply department-specific rules. For example, you can restrict the Marketing department to only use GPT-3.5 while allowing Engineering access to GPT-4.
- Analytics: View cross-department usage comparisons to understand which teams are driving AI expenses.
