Visibility is the cornerstone of governance. Alephant logs both the data plane (AI requests) and the control plane (administrative actions).

API Request Logs

Every request routed through an Alephant Virtual Key is logged, providing full request/response metadata, token counts, and latency.

  • Log Retention: Logs are retained based on your subscription tier (from 30 days on Free, up to 365 days on Enterprise).
  • Monthly Quotas: Each plan has a monthly log recording limit. If exceeded, logs are either paused (Free) or billed as an overage (Paid tiers) to ensure continuous monitoring.
  • Exporting: Pro and Team plans support manual CSV exports, while Enterprise supports automated S3 exports.

Audit Logs (Control Plane)

Audit Logs provide an immutable trail of administrative actions.

  • Tracks events such as creating keys, modifying budgets, inviting admins, and toggling policies.
  • Immutability: Audit log entries cannot be edited or deleted by any user, including the Workspace Owner.
  • Available as read-only on the Team plan, with full export capabilities on Enterprise.
